Cork tips: Un De Sceaux, Shattered Love among Sunday selections

Un De Sceaux bets and Shattered Love odds among Cork tips for December 10

Hurdle Bet’s Cork tips for December 10 include Un De Sceaux bets in the Hilly Way Chase and Shattered Love odds.

Top Willie Mullins performer Un De Sceaux makes his return to action in the 2m 1/2f feature Grade 2 Hilly Way Chase at Cork, and is strongly fancied to make it a winning one this Sunday (14:20).

The Closutton handler has a stranglehold on this race in recent years, landing nine of the last 10 renewals.

In nine-year-old Un De Sceaux, Mullins boasts a three-time Grade 1 winner last season.

After taking the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown in a tussle with Sire De Grugy 12 months ago, he followed-up with back-to-back victories at Cheltenham.

    Sensational round in Ryanair

The first of those came over this trip in the rescheduled Clarence House Chase.

Our Cork tips for December 10 include Un De Sceaux bets in the feature Hilly Way Chase.

Un De Sceaux then stepped up to 2m 5f in the Ryanair Chase at the Festival, jumping boldly when leading the field home from the fifth fence.

This was an awesome display and he lost little in defeat when beaten 1 3/4 lengths by Fox Norton on his final start of last season.

Given what that rival has achieved since, the form is rock solid.

Although he has to give weight all-round, the selection is 9lb and upwards clear of his Hilly Way rivals on official ratings.

Un De Sceaux bets are impossible to oppose and he’s a worthy favourite for a return to winning ways.

    Shattered Love odds also appeal

And Shattered Love odds are also among Cork tips for December 10.

In the 2m 1f Grade 3 mares novice chase (14:50), Shattered Love looks like giving in-form trainer Gordon Elliott another valuable prize.

The six-year-old won her first two starts over fences impressively at Fairyhouse and Clonmel.

Shattered Love then lost little in defeat when a three-quarters of a length runner-up to stablemate Jury Duty in the Grade 2 Florida Pearl Novice Chase at Punchestown.

That rival was rated 11lb higher over hurdles, so it was a cracking effort which earned the selection an official chase mark of 138.

It puts her well clear of the opposition here, so Shattered Love odds need snapping up despite giving 5lb all-round.
